Purpose Statement
The Specialist II, Security, under the supervision of the Global Security Senior Manager, Due Diligence and Investigations, will be responsible for the day to day management of the independent channel partner and third party intermediary due diligence screenings, and identify potential risks to BSC in connection with the proposed relationships with the entities. The information provided by the Specialist will enable Global Security management and the cross-functional team of BSC senior leaders to make informed decisions when evaluating and resolving sensitive matters. The Specialist will also manage the intake of various reports made to the Global Security function and assign matters for appropriate courses of action.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Third Party-related due diligence process, to include reviewing due diligence requests made by the respective business leads, liaising with the business leads to obtain additional information where necessary, initiating due diligence reviews to be conducted by the approved BSC vendors, monitoring progress to ensure due diligence requests are completed in a timely fashion, reviewing due diligence reports for potential risks or issues, and reviewing on-going low level due diligence screenings.
- Prepare detailed assessments of potential risks or concerns and communicate to Global Security Management. In the absense of the Global Security Manager, Due Diligence and Investigation, faciliate the review of potential issues by the cross-functional team comprised of senior BSC leaders and communicate the resolution.
- Maintain meticulous documentation related to the due diligence screenings to appropriately capture analysis, recommendation and all follow up efforts.
- Manage the intake of reports made to the Global Security team, assign matters to appropriate team members for action, and follow up to ensure resolution of all open items.
- Assist in the development and implementation of workflows and operating procedures related to the third party due diligence program.
- Collaborate with Global Compliance Third Party team to establish third party review protocols and update tools and templates within the Third Party tool.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders, including the Global Compliance Third Party team, business leads across various regions and countries and due diligence vendors.
- Assist where needed in coordinating cross functional efforts with members of Global Compliance, Global Regulatory and Privacy, Legal, and Human Resources, to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies.
- Investigate internal matters for Global Security globally. Investigations include interviews, documentation, recommendations, cross-functional team dialogue, and possible law enforcement coordination.
- Other work as assigned.
Qualification requirements
Applicants are required to have a BA or BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. The applicant will have at a minimum:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a global security or compliance environment.
- Experience in supporting or leading investigations and conducting interviews
- Detail oriented and experienced in reviewing due diligence related matters.
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Demonstrates proactive approach to problem solving and decision-making capability.
- Knowledge of FCPA and other relevant Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption laws.
- Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of best-in class security processes and practices.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including consulting, team building, and collaboration.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintains a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work after hours in emergency situations.
- Able to work effectively and independently. Self-motivated yet understands the importance of collaboration and strong relationships across multiple business functions
- Requires integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- 1-5% travel required for company meetings and conferences.
